As I’m continuing my beat site reviews, I’ve come across www.mypersonalproducer.com. Although the design is not as advanced as some of the other top ranking beat sites, the simplicity does have its advantages. I like the fact there is an opt-in subscription box that you don’t have to search the whole website to look for. So if I wanted to get informed of new beats, I can be sent an email.
I also noticed the site is using Google Adsense to monetize the site. While this is okay, I wonder if it takes away from the real purpose of the site. Once you click on those Google Ads, they take you away from the site which is not a plus unless your goal is to get more money from Adsense than selling beats.
While www.mypersonalproducer.com does use samples in their beats (which are creatively used), most of the beats have the same feel and almost the same BPM (Beats Per Minutes). As an emcee myself, I like to write to different types of beats and I rhyme at different speeds.
Checkout seems to be fairly simple and you do not need a membership to buy beats. This is good because some people just want to get their beats and get to work without the hassle of filling out a subscription form just to buy a beat.
As an alternative to www.mypersonalproducer.com, you should definitely check out www.Beats4aDub.com, for the latest beats and instrumentals.

The Alternative to www.JeeJuh.com
I’ve been following the guys at www.JeeJuh.com for a few years. They are definitely some real power players in the beat making game. I remember them initially from Soundclick and they grew to have their own site where they could have more control of how their beats were presented.
When you first enter www.JeeJuh.com you are not bombarded with advertisements. The music player is easily accessible and there are clear instructions on how to buy beats. You can listen to as many beats as you want and the beats are made by 3 different producers who cover a variety of genres.
I do like how JeeJuh.com has customized their music player so people can vote on their beats. They also have different prices for different formats such as .mp3, .wav, and fully tracked out versions. Many beat websites will not offer the tracked out version of their beats or the .wav format.
The check out process at www.JeeJuh.com was very simple and easy to use. They use Paypal to process their transactions so it is a site that can be trusted. They have special deals for customers who buy in bulk and sometimes they offer giveaways.
There are video testimonials on the site and they do have an opt-in subscriber box for people who want to be notified when new beats have been uploaded.
If you would like to by an exclusive beat there is a direct link in the toolbar at the top as well as a link to their FAQs, Forum, Blog, and their Featured Artists. There are also several places on JeeJuh.com were you can “Like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. What was really cool was they were giving away a nice industry quality microphone on the site and while I was writing this review, they announced the winner and it was updated on their site via Facebook and Twitter.
Overall, the beats were good and the site was very user-friendly. I would recommend this site to anyone looking to buy beats online.
As an alternative I would also recommend Beats4ADub.com for artists who want to get the real ins and outs of the music business from someone who is not just selling beats but who has released albums and shared the stage with legendary artists like The Roots, KRS-ONE, and Talib Kweli. Anyone can sell you beats but not everyone can teach you the music business.

A Good Alternative to MakeHitMusic.com
One of the first things I noticed when I arrived at www.makehitmusic.com was how clean the beat site looked. It looked very professional and easy to use. It looks very well thought out and seems like a successful business model. I liked how your attention is called to buy beats at the very top of the website. Before I even heard any beats, I read the messages in the banner and I felt like I could be successful if I used these beats.
I listened to some of the beats on www.makehitmusic.com and they were music industry quality beats and just like their motto says, all you have to do is “just add vocals”. It was very easy to listen to the beats and instrumentals. They give you about a 60-second sample of each song. They also have different genres like Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B.
The prices are very affordable. There are different prices and they even have free beats. MakeHitMusic.com has a massive catalog of beats by many producers. It’s a win-win-win situation for their members because the producers benefit as well as the artist and MakeHitMusic.com itself.
I did notice it was hard to find the subscription box for the site. They have a “join us” link in the top right corner which is in red. The benefits of becoming a member are not expressed clearly and you must become a member to buy a beat.
Also when I did go to buy a beat, the process had too many steps. You must definitely want the beat very much if you got through their process. I’m not saying it’s bad. I’m just saying it’s a lot to do. If you wanted to purchase exclusive rights to a beat, it seems like it’s a lengthy process. You can’t just click on a link and buy the beat exclusively like most beat websites. Some other beat selling sites offer combination deals also. I didn’t see this feature on www.makehitmusic.com.
One big thing that I liked was the ability to download their vocal recording software app to your smartphone if you have one. You can play their beats and add your own vocals right on your phone.
Overall though, the design alone makes me want to come back to MakeHitMusic.com. It’s really easy on the eyes and anyone can use it. The beats are good and plenty and they make it easy for new rappers and singers to use.
For a good alternative, I recommend www.Beats4ADub.com. Not only do you get industry quality beats but the checkout process is much smoother and you get to work with proven music industry veterans.

More NEW Beats!!!
I haven’t had a chance to tell you about the new beats I recently posted at www.MelloMelanin.com.
Go to the site and check out “Hateration” and “Sunday Night Football”. They are both bangers!
I’m also going to launch a new website to display the newest beats as they become available.

The Importance of Follow Up
I just got through checking my web stats and I'm glad I did. I recently sent out an email blast to my list with a new beat I made. I wanted to test the response to the beat so I sent it out to my email list and WOW!
I had more people open that email than any other email that I've sent out about the music business.
I was really shocked. I had scanned over these figures a few days ago but I didn't really think about the significance until today.
What I found out is people are still interested in custom beats. After all, I do give away 7 beats just for signing up to The Hot Instrumentalist Newsletter.
My results lead me to try another test using the email and I will soon put another "Beats For Sale" page up at The Rap Beat Creator.
You'll be the first to know...
