We lost another great music icon earlier this week. Teddy Pendergrass who was the lead singer of Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes as well as a successful solo artist, passed away from colon cancer. He was a young 59 years old.Never mind the drama about how he was paralyzed in a car accident at the height of his career. He left a music legacy that was laced with songs that countless Hiphop artists have sampled & if you put one of his songs in rotation, you might just get some, ahhhh,....lovin'.
He blessed us with such classics as "Turn Out The Lights", "Close The Door", "Wake Up Everybody", and "Love TKO".
Teddy, we love you, bless you, and thank GOD for you. Thank you for all the beautiful music and may you rest in peace.
