Whassup Peeps?
I don't know about you but the kulture of Hiphop saved my life! I owe most of what I know to this man, DJ Kool Herc. Kool Herc originated the break beat and threw live parties before most of the current Hiphop generation was born. Whatever happens, I am blessed to have met him in Washington D.C. back in 1996. I felt so happy at that moment, I could have kissed his feet!
Anyway check out the article at Global Grind below:

It makes no sense that a kulture that has generated billions of dollars has to have its founder suffer in poverty. smh...

More New Music By Prophetix: "Iron Fist"
Peeps,
After combing through my hard drive for the next unreleased joint from the Catfish & Chips album, I've decided "Iron Fist" would be pretty cool to let y'all hear.
It features both me and Eddie Meeks on lyrics and Wytfang on the beat. As a matter of fact, Wytfang did all the beats on the album.
Click here to listen to "Iron Fist"!
Let me know what you think.

New Music - Jaylib - Louder (Blast Your Radio Theme)[DOWNLOAD]
Whassup Peeps?
This is new music by Jaylib. Well actually its not new to them but new to us. I'm pretty sure the beat is made by Jay Dilla (R.I.P.) because Madlib is rhyming on the track.
Their style was so sick. Which ever one made the beat, the other would rhyme over it and that in itself is a dope concept. Click on the link below to hear the track:

What It Takes To Become A Successful Music Producer?
So you want to make Hip Hop beats, huh? Well, if that is what you really want to do, what is stopping you? You can be a music producer but first you must get your mind right. If you do not believe it no one else will.
With all the information and technology available today, you can be a successful producer almost overnight. There are many producers who sell Hip Hop beats and Rap beats on the Internet. Many of these producers do not have million dollar, state of the art studios. They make beats in their bedroom or some spare room in their house.
If you have a burning desire to be a music producer, then you can succeed. First of all, you must have some equipment. If you have a big budget you can get some top of the line music production tools like something from the MPC line from Akai. Computers are also very affordable and you can get a very reasonable computer and some music production software for under $500.
I started making beats with a borrowed beat machine. I actually borrowed it from a guy who borrowed it from someone else! I had it for almost a year and all it did was make drum beats. It did not have a keyboard or sequencer but it could be hooked up to some other instruments by MIDI.
Eventually, I graduated to another piece of equipment which had more features and I was able to make some real tracks. Later I got a computer and bought some industry standard software to make even better beats.
There was a burning desire within me to make my own beats. I knew I could write rap lyrics and I also knew what kinds of sounds I wanted to hear musically. If you are asking yourself what it takes to be a music producer, then you probably feel like this too.
What are you going to do about it?
Get started now. Do some research on the Internet. Go to a music store and play around with some different equipment. Check with the salesman and see how much it would cost to get all the things you need to get your studio up and running. Find some local producers in your area and learn some techniques from them. Your options are unlimited if you use your creativity.

Rick Ross & Swizz Beatz "The Transporter" (NEW MUSIC)
Whassup Peeps?
You know I'm always looking for some new Hip Hop beats and checking out some new music. I was diggin' through Global Grind and I came up on this joint by Rick Ross produced by Swizz Beatz called "The Transporter". Its not a club banger or radio cut but I think its some good music to ride to or just listen to when you're just kickin' it. Click on the link below to check out the song:
Rick Ross & Swizz Beatz "The Transporter" (NEW MUSIC) - Page 3371067 | Global Grind: "- Sent using Google Toolbar"
Ross has definitely been busy and consistent with putting out new music. That's one of the things I appreciate about his music. Now Swizz Beatz, man, I've loved his style of music since I first heard him on the first joint that blew EVE up back in the late 90's.
Anyway I hope you enjoy....

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
Whassup Peeps?
Let's not let this Brother's life be in vain. Love is the unifying tie that binds us all. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made the "Ultimate Sacrifice" to prove it. This is an interesting read by Russell Simmons & Rabbi Marc Schneier. Click on the link below:

The Falcons Get Beat...Bad
I haven't post anything in a few days so it is perfect timing to post since my team, the Atlanta Falcons, just got beat. Well we made it to the division playoff so that's good. Too many mental mistakes caused them to lose the game. This a great lesson! Let's Make It Happen!!! Mello Melanin.

I'm Addicted To Hip Hop Beats!
Whassup folks, I was listening to some hot Hip Hop beats today while I was riding around helping people get around on the icy streets of ATL! I had a lot of different flavors to listen to which is always good too.
I'm still pumpin' that new Senor Kaos album, "The World's Most Interesting M.C." It's been in heavy rotation right along side The Roots, "How I Got Over" and a live mp3 version of Trombone Shorty live on stage (if you don't know who Trombone Shorty is I suggest you Google him...after you finish reading my blog of course. :)
I spent most of the day just listening to beats and lyrics while I was driving around the city.
I did get some Steve Harvey in this morning. I like to start my morning laughing and in a good mood.
But after Steve went off, it was ON today! I had a great day just listening to beats.

And We're Off!
Happy New Year Everybody!
I hope you all welcomed in 2011 with a bang! I know I did. I just want to jump right into what this blog is about. After studying my business model for the last 2 years, I have decided to make some changes that will benefit everyone greatly.
I've decided to turn up the heat!
2010 was okay. I laid the foundation for many things to come and although it wasn't my best year, I can definitely say it wasn't one of my worst either.
This year I promise to give you more of the music business information you want. I will be blogging more, sending out more email blasts, writing more articles, and producing more podcasts.
On another note, I have changed the RapBeatCreator.com home page to offer Hip Hop beats for sale. You can pick out the beats you like and instantly download the ones you like.
I'm looking forward to the future and I have more surprises for you too.
Let's Make It Happen!!!

P.S. Go check out the Hip Hop Beats at www.RapBeatCreator.com. Right now they are still going for $1.00. I will be changing that soon. Holla!!!
